Facturen in Nederland
The invoice is in Dutch by default, with English or bilingual options. The Belastingdienst requires your btw-id and KvK number, both parties' names and addresses, a sequential number, the date of supply, a description with quantities, unit prices excluding btw, and the btw per rate. Choose 21%, 9% or 0% per line.
For reverse charge the invoice says "btw verlegd" and shows your client's btw-id; intra-EU supplies and exports get their own notes, and KOR participants charge no btw. Your btw-id is checked with both the old and the current check-digit schemes.

Frequently asked questions
What must a Dutch invoice (factuur) include?
Your name and address, your btw-id and KvK number, your client's name and address, the invoice date, a sequential number, the date of supply, the quantity and description, unit prices excluding btw, and the btw rate and amount. The checklist tracks each item.
When does the invoice say "btw verlegd"?
When you choose reverse charge: no btw is charged, the invoice prints "btw verlegd" and asks for your client's btw-id.
I use the KOR. What do I do?
Choose "Kleineondernemersregeling (KOR)". The invoice charges no btw and says so.
Can I write the invoice in English?
Yes. Choose English, or bilingual Dutch and English.
Do you store my invoices?
No. Your invoice is sent to our server only to build the preview and the PDF, and the PDF is deleted within an hour. Your business details, draft and recent clients are saved in your own browser so you don't have to type them again; "Clear my data" removes them.
